The Great Escape....

Grandma T up by the big rock slide, where Kim took me on the ATV.
Hi Family!

Grandma T hear from beautiful Cove Fort! I escaped this week, and went down to Fillmore and Meadow to visit Uncle Nate and Charity and family and Aunt Kim and Paul. It was so fun! Kim took me to see Cove Fort. I have never been there before. It was so interesting and so beautiful. Pres Hinckley's family bought back the Fort, that his grandfather built, and turned it back over to the Church. What a wonderful experience it was to hear the history of this great place. After we toured the Fort, we ate lunch in their beautiful, tree filled park. After, we drove over to the Fremont Indian State Park and Museum. This was a facinating place to see. When we returned back to Meadow, we all went over to Nate & Charity's for dinner and visiting. Charity was called out on a transfer to Payson Hospital. So we helped clean up, visited more w/Nate, then headed back to Meadow. On the way home, there was alot of Lightning heading towards Fillmore. And sure enough, Nate said they got a nice lightning show and a little rain. The next morning, Kim and I headed out early for a short ATV ride, up the canyon behind Kim's home. Went towards the top, where there was a huge rock slide, from ages ago. The boulders were mighty big!! We saw a pretty little camp ground that Kim said would be real fun to have a family camp out in! Hint hint! haha Then we buzzed over to Nate and Charity's and we all went up Fillmore Canyon for an afternoon of fishing. Nate and Colton rode up on the ATV, while we ladies rode w/the kids in the Tahoe. What a beautiful camp ground we went to. The kids had a ball fishing, and little 3 yr. old Hallie caught the biggest fish of the day! 10 inches! Kim came in 2nd and Nate and I had to throw ours back in! Dang. Aunt Charity caught another huge one, but unfortunately it slipped into the water and got away! sigh.....Then back to Fillmore, and where Nate and Colton and Mitch jumped on the tramp w/the sprinkler underneath for over an hour! Fun! Then we had 5 Buck Pizza, more great visiting, and then home to Meadow we did go. I was going to head back to PG, but was too pooped to drive. So Kim, Paul and I just laid out on the tramp and watch the Lightning, the millions of stars and shooting stars, then called it a nite. I got up early and headed back home in the morning. But it was sooooo much fun, and I had such a good time! Thanks Kim, Paul, Nate and Charity, for the fun time!
