THE VISITORS ARE BACK....

Another adventure-out in our yards!
So many visitors, keeping track is real hard.
But just as the moon, came over the mountain,
I spied so many deer, I had to start countin....

One and now two, three, four and five,
How many more can these brown eyes of mine spy?
Six and now seven, WAIT it it eight!
Yes eight graceful deer walking at a slow gait....

Just walking right down the middle of the road,
Stopping now, as a car comes real slow.
But the bright lights and noise of tires crunching the snow,
Send the deer bounding quickly, as their four legs will go!

They all go a running, right into Gurr's yard,
So quickly, I dash for my phone, breathing hard.
"Hi there, it's Linda, Look quick out in back!"
Your in for a surprise, if you just do not slack!"

They quickly do pull up the blinds to the window,
And there peeking in, are the DEER! I don't kid ya!
LaNona, she shreeks, and the Deer they do jump,
Both people and creature not ready for this stunt!

Then everyone settles down, and enjoys the fun sight,
Cause Jacobs Mule and their horse, are running with fright!
What are all these creatures out in this back yard?
Each startling the other, all running wildly real hard!

From one end of the yard, then to the other,
Deer, horse and Mule, scaring each other,
It really is funny, everyone laughs,
Camara's flashing, for a picture that hopefully will last!

Slowly, the animals decide it's ok,
To let these cute creatures wander and stray,
Into all of the yards, to nibble and eat,
All the Roses and Uwanimus and shrubs they can reach.

Well, that is the latest in Grandma's adventures,
Of the spotting of all of God's cute little creatures.
I hope you've enjoyed the funny things that we saw,
So watch for the next episode, maybe one to top it all!!!

Love Grandma T.

That was a great story-poem!!!
That would be quite the site to open your blinds and have eyes staring back at you! ha,ha

When we lived at our old house in Fillmore, on full-moon nights, I would open the shades and sit and watch the deer family that lived under the apple tree. It was better than any nature show!

When Grandma Fowlke lived there, she would pour the carrot scraps from her juicer there under the apple tree to feed them. They grew used to it and stayed.
