"A FUN TIME AT STRAWBERRY DAYS"

Strawberry Days Queen Float, with lots of little Tingey kids, second generation, waving and having a good time! Thanks family, for coming home and helping make more memories for another generation of Tingey's! Our family came home from Meadow, Fillmore, Spanish Fork, South Jordan, and of course, me, in Pleasant Grove! haha
The weather was great, rather, hot, 98 degrees! But the bands, horses, floats, candy throwing
made it lots of fun! It was fun to see a few of the ole families from Grandma Tingeys days as a young one, at the parade, at the same old location, Howard and Ruby Warnicks lawn. We have all been meeting there, in the same spot, for over 50 years! Along with all of my family, there were the Bullocks, Janet & Kent Anderson (Ruby & Howards daughter) Daryl and Marie Harper and family. It was fun to see them again. We missed Nate this year, he was on Duty w/the Sherrif's Dept. Kade was visiting his mom, Karah and Mark weren't able to come, Karah was with her family at their annual ladies days in St George. But Bryton came to stay w/grandma Tingey so he could be here for Strawberry Days. There was a 'Mig' plane, like from World War II, that flew real low, and fast, over the parade route, and a Red Baron double winger plane! They were fun to watch. Bryton was excited to wave at his mom's cousin, Miss Santiquein, and she yelled and waved "Hi Bryton"!! It tickled him! After the parade, we all packed our chairs and headed back around the block to Grandma Tingey's for a big picnic. There was lots of good food, thanks again family! Then after every ones food settled, ole Black Beards Ghost arose from the depths of the ocean, and hid another treasure for the kids. After running, jumping, rolling down the hill, chinning from the branch of the big tree, running around Raccoon Tree, the treasure was discovered in a dark cave, guarded by a dog! (Bo's doghouse, haha) The kids were excited to find, rings, lay's, whistles, telescopes, pirate eye patch's, candy, etc, and squirt guns in the chest! Of course there ended up being a big water fight! haha Jordan was heard telling his friends this week, "I'm going to grandma T's for a treasure hunt, for Strawberries Days. And then later in the afternoon, Bryton was excited and yelled to everyone, "Hey, it's 'watergation'! (irrigation) So most of them ended up in the ditch getting really wet! Then, before you knew it, it was time for the folks to load up their wet kiddies, and head for home. Another year of tired, worn out kids. And more then tired parents . Isn't summer fun though? Next, it's the 4th of July, Spanish Fork Fiesta Days, 24 of July Pioneer Days. I'm sure we'll all be together again, for more fun and excitement!!! Hope everyone slept real good that nite!! haha
Love
Grandma T.
